A Year in Review: Best Looks of 2011

As we delve deeper into the final month of the year, the days get shorter, the sweaters get thicker, the malls get busier, and we look back on the year that's coming to a close. And since two of my favorite things are fashion and celebrity-stalking, I'll be reviewing my favorite stylish moments this year. From the Oscars to the MTV Movie Awards and everywhere in between, there have been a lot of looks to love this year.

Countless celebs showed up for the glamorous runway shows at the Paris Fashion Week, but none was quite as fabulous as the Chanel show. It's only fair that I start my post with the best of Chanel Haute Couture:

Rachel Bilson

Clemence Poesy

Alexa Chung

Michelle Williams
at the Oscars in
Chanel Haute Couture

Keira Knightley in Chanel Haute Couture at a movie premiere in NYC.

Turns out I'm also a huge Calvin Klein fan; here are the best of his collection from this year:

 Kate Bosworth shopping in Soho
Claire Danes at the Golden Globes
Jennifer Lawrence at the Oscars

One trend I discovered that I LOVED from 2011 -- fancy pants:

Bar Refaeli at a Perfume Launch in Barcelona

 Blake Lively wearing Elie Saab

 Camilla Belle wearing Jason Wu

Rose Byrne at a NYC premiere

Gwen Stefani in Stella McCartney

Aaaand now for the rest of my fav's from 2011:

 Dianna Agron in Christian Cota

 Emma Stone in Bottega Veneta

 Emma Watson in Elie Saab

Jennifer Aniston in a leather Celine dress

Mary-Kate Olsen at The Row Handbag launch

Mila Kunis at the MTV Movie Awards

 Nikki Reed in Michael Kors

 Rose Byrne in Marc Jacobs

 Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Gucci

SURPRISE FAV: Selena Gomez in Julien McDonald

 Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace

Cate Blanchett in Givenchy Haute Couture

 Emma Watson in Bottega Veneta

 Julia Stiles in Georges Hobeika

Julie Bowen in Oscar de la Renta

 Kate Middleton in Alexander McQueen

Mila Kunis in Alexander McQueen

And my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE look from 2011 is..... a tie. Come on, it's too hard to narrow it down to just one. So here are the TWO BEST looks this year:

Blake Lively wore this GORGEOUS Marchesa beaded gown to the BAFTA Awards. I love this look for a number of reasons; its Greek-like flow, the beaded detail, and the fact that this is the first time Blake Lively wore a dress that didn't directly accent her legs or boobs. Ten points!

Ginnifer Goodwin is often overlooked as a fashion guru, but I think she has fabulous style. First of all, she's beautiful. Secondly, she rocks a pixie cut like it's her job. And that dress! That dress, from TOPSHOP, might I add. The jade is such a beautiful hue and it contrasts so wonderfully with her jet-black hair. Everything else about this outfit is perfect; the simple satin clutch, the green and  turquoise necklace and those FAB Aperlai 'Karine' heels. Ginnifer wore this to the Met Costume Gala in May, when other A-listers wore gowns by Alexander McQueen, Elie Saab and Armani Prive, Ginnifer proved her style status in this beautiful jade twisted Topshop dress. Okay, okay, I changed my mind. Move over Blake Lively, THIS was my favorite look of 2011.

Here's to 2012 and the style to come :)
